Triple Award/
It turned out to be a great weekend for Hocus Focus: One Spellemann and two bronze awards at Gullblyanten. To enlighten you further, we have been so luck to partake in three award winning productions from 2009. To start with the Spellemann, the fabulous Donkeyboy won no less than three out of five possible awards. One of these was for the best music video to the ever lasting hit “Ambitions”, produced by Babusjka and directed by Kristoffer Borgli. For the first time ever, MTV teased a music video, which tells a strange, dark and thought provoking story that touches ground with contemporary time. Hocus Focus´ insider in this disturbed world is Haavard Albertsen, who colour graded the music video into its mysterious look. Haavard was also involved in the two films from Expert and NSCIA/Sunnaas which both were awarded bronze in the category of respectively best film of the year and best social information.
The (almost) best film asked you before Christmas what you really wished for. In a sweet, strange and funny campaign from Expert in cooperation with McCann, “real” people tell us about their highest wishes. However, it is impossible to believe them, as they are describing Christmas presents from hell: Knives with cheese on top and too long and soggy stockings. Director Kristoffer Carlin and Paradox with producer Jannecke Nordskog did a great casting with believable faces and personalities. Experts list of Christmas wants seems like a dream come true in comparison with 50´ plasma TVs and X Box 360. The post-production by Hocus Focus was here managed by producer Lene Cathrine Albertsen, Thomas Løvig edited the film, Bengt Ove Sannes was responsible for work online, together with Haavard Albertsen, who also did the colour grading.
The hard-hitting attitude campaign from director Eric Poppe and Paradox, together with the advertising agency Siste Skrik won bronze for best social information. It was broadcasted in springtime, a period in time when youth all over the country are celebrating the completion of secondary school studies. Unfortunately, there is many traffic accidents among the young ones. The Norwegian Spinal Cord Injuries Association and Sunnaas Rehabilitation Hospital therefore made a film to increase the consciousness among young people by creating reflection. ?Our team at Hocus Focus was responsible for the whole post-production package: Post-producer Lene Cathrine Albertsen, editor Martin Stoltz and again colour grading by Haavard Albertsen. CONGRATULATION TO YOU ALL!
