Coming up: MasterChef/
TV3 is preparing us for the spring and yet another reality series: MasterChef. (Yes, we like the symbiosis of food and television in Norway). Originally from UK, MasterChef is a BBC television cookery game show. It ran initially from 1990 and was revived in a different format in 2005. The concept has been picked up in other parts of the world as Australia, New Zealand and now Norway. The competition is plain and simple: Who makes the best food. It gives budding chefs the ultimate opportunity to develop their cooking skills, and to be mentored by the best. The program will be hosted by the clever and beautiful Jenny Skavlan and the at times scary master chef Eyvind Hellstrom (the personification of food on TV). Hellstrøm of course is the evaluator. However other strong profiles, like Jan Vardøen, are also involved. Auditions have taken place, soon the competitors will be introduced and to show off the concept, promos have been made by Trøbbel Film AS: Hugo Hagemann Føsker (producer) and Alexander Kayambakis (director).
