Voluntary work for Haiti/

In the spirit of compassion, of recognition, of despair and of hope, the cultural Norway fronted by the music industry has mobilised its forces. Nothing seems to make more sense than to partake in this voluntary work for the people of Haiti by contributing the way we do best. Hocus Focus has therefore post-produced (Ole-Arild Svendsen), edited (Ove Kenneth Nilsen) and colour graded (Bengt Ove Sannes) a music video for the benefit of Haiti. Ole Paus has written the song ”Den stilleste timen” (The most quiet hour). As the song was recorded in the studio with many of Norway’s most prominent artists, there was also a film shooting team directed by Alex Herron on the premises. The result is a simple and dignified music video, stripped of any glamour or celebrity whims. The calm atmosphere of the studio and the poetic realism in the lyrics are complementary. So is the rather rusty and earthly voice of Ole Paus and Ingrid Olava, working together with the angel-like voice of Morten Harket. It might be exactly these factors that make this project – both musically and visually – very and specifically Norwegian. The album is released the 15th of February and the profit goes to the Red Cross of Norway and the Norwegian Church Aid. For more information and support, take a look at: www.dugnad.net
