The BlackSheeps/
Over the last two weeks, Hocus Focus has worked with director Håvard
Arnstad´s last project: The BlackSheeps and their brand-new music video
EDWIN. With massive press coverage, the teenagers from the north of Norway
are singing their heart out. This time around, giving cross-dressing the
face of youth. Oh, what a band, what an attitude, what a theme and what a
video. Running for more than 7 minutes, it is presented like a short film
and Arnstad´s long experience with the making of music videos is obvious.
Always aesthetically elegant, whether it is the “When the stars go blue”
duet between Venke Knutson and Kurt Nilsen or the more fiery music video for
the black metal band Satyricon. The common feature is an excellent eye
combined with storytelling and engagement. Now, the director is bringing
forward the spirit and identity of The BlackSheeps and their hometown
Nesseby. With a little help, of course, from EDWIN alias actor Sebastian
Warholm known from the TV-series “Himmelblå” and “Linus i svingen”. Editing
by Ove Kenneth Nilsen, in cooperation with the director himself. Grading by
Haavard Albertsen and online by Bengt Ove Sannes. Sound design by Lydhodene.
